Docking Formula Builder

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I accidentally hid the formula bar that appears at the top of every training video. I can customize the toolbar to show a formula button, but every time that I try to dock the formula bar to the excel window (as shown in every video), it will not stay. How do I re-dock the formula builder to the excel window? Do I have to re-install the product. Please say no.
Thanks

I see no call for reinstalling Office -- there rarely is -- but I'm not sure
I'm clear on your issue. The Formula *Bar* & the Formula *Builder* [which is
a part of the Toolbox] are two separate & distinct screen objects. Also,
neither of them can be docked to the Excel [workbook?] window, nor do any of
the videos or tutorials I've seen depict either of them in that way. Have
you possibly been watching training videos for the Windows version?

If you are, in fact, referring to the Formula Bar go to the View menu &
select it to turn it on. If you want it docked the only place it can be, use
the 'tab' at its left end to drag it up beneath the Menu Bar until it
'snaps' into a docked position.

If this doesn't resolve the problem you'll have to be more exact about what
the problem actually is. We can't reply with any more accuracy than the
descriptive info you provide.

Thank you. I did mean the formula bar and didn't know how to 'snap it' in place.
And, I agree with you totally regarding re-installing software - something that should be relegated to the rarely used bucket of choices.

Much appreciated.
