DoCmd.close very slow in A2207

I posted here yesterday about the problems I had in A2007 where it takes 20
seconds to close a form - which is basd on a query which has around 5,000
records.

Someone was kind enough to post a reply, but the link back does not work and
the original posting has disappeared.

I have tried the acSaveNo option, the compiled version but still no progress.
