Document autoscrolling

In the last month or 2 the action of the vertical scroll
bar in office has changed. When clicking in the vertical
scroll bar area, to scroll down 1 page, I sometimes will
click 3, 4, 5 or more times to to move quickly down
through a document or e-mail. If I click too quickly, the
document suddenly takes off on it's own and scrolls all
the way to the bottom of the document. It doesn't do this
in one jump, but scrolls , page by page, as if I'm still
clicking the mouse button. I can't stop it so in a very
large document all I can do is just sit there and watch
it. The mouse driver is the standard Windows mouse driver
(7/1/2001). I believe this started after running a
windows update. So far this is has just been annoying,
but today in outlook while reviewing my calander for the
year, I clicked too fast and had to watch every month
flash by for the last 181 years! It eventually stopped on
April 1822. Is this a bug or some setting I don't know
about.

What version of Office? Windows? Does the bug occur in IE too?
