Hi Donald,
PaperPort stores an image of a file - not the text contained in the
file. Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert an image to
text doesn't always return optimal results. As a matter of fact, I
find it easier to just retype the document depending on the quality of
the image.
For example if an older document is scanned and it contains fuzzy or
difficult to read characters and if there are other black dots or tiny
lines on the image the conversion ends up being a mess of characters
and few words are converted correctly.
