document image scan comes up blank

all seems to work fine but the document after the scan to ocr to word comes
up empty - no characters. The scanner moves, the computer reads the page and
- blank.

running vista, word 2007 and brother all in one (which the document image
writer recognizes).

Do the images come up OK if you use whatever scanning software came
with the machine?

for your printer?

Try scanning to an image. (gray scale) it may be the settings are so far
out that the B/W conversion makes it all white and so nothing appears.
