Document Image Scanning

Office 2003. Windows XP/Pro on a Fujitsu P1510D. All updates current.
After re-installing my HP6480 all-in-one, the MS scanning app doesn't "see"
the printer/scanner. Prior to the re-install it worked fine with the MS app.
Now, the pull down list for scanners is empty. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
