Document Imaging and Scaning HP PSC 750xi

I have an HP PSC 750xi multi-function printer/scanner/copier. The scan
function works in all applications except document imaging and scanning. I
can open Word and scan without a problem. From Document Imaging and Scanning
I receive an error message that my "Document Feeder Is Malfunctioning". This
printer has no document feeder. The option is greyey out (Not Checked) in
the scanner options. Is there a solution?

Did you created a scanning profile for this scanner in MS Office
Document Scanning?

Is your HP driver up to date from the H.P. web site.
Do you get the same issue using the TWAIN scanner settings?
