Document is not saved

When I "save as" from an existing excel document, I receive a message saying "Document Not Saved" . What is causing this problem?

This is not an issue with all of my excel documents but all of them in contained in a specific folder that I defined.

It seems as though my file/pathway string was too long, ie over 218 characters.

To accomplish the task I saved the documents in an earlier folder in the pathway and then drug them into the later folder or folder of destination.

Since I was not alerted to why it did not the document did not save I was bewildered. But maybe if someone else has a similar problem, this will help them.
