Document Library Views Issue

D

Darrell

Running Project Server 2003 and Project Pro 2003, Windows XP with Office 2003.

Not sure what has changed or why but suddenly files opened from the "All
Documents" view of a library only open in "Read Only" mode, provided IE
doesn't crash all together. However, changing to the "Explorer View" view
allows the same files to be open in edit mode without issue.

I recently received this error message as well when IE crashed while
attempting to open a document in the "All Documents" view:

'The instruction at "0x30cb0b97" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "Written". '

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Darrell,
I suggest you post this to the server newsgroup,
microsoft.public.project.server. This newsgroup is dedicated to the
standalone version of Project.

I had the same issue. My issue start after a serioue of windows and office
updates.
I uninstalled the sharepoint services in Office 2003 then re-installed the
service and the issue went away. Hope it corrects your issue.
