Help! my test drive just expired and i now cannot access any document i
created with it. Also, it is somehow affecting other documents, even
those saved in RTF. Ideas, suggestions?

AppleWorks can read .doc and .xls files. Alternatively, the full
(paid-for) version of Office will help...!

In what way is "it" (whatever "it" is) 'somehow affecting other
documents'?

Re affecting other documents: do a Get Info (cmd-I) and check that the Open
With settings are not calling the expired test drive.
