Does Work 2002 only recognise the Styles "Heading 1" etc
to "Heading 9"? I want to use my custom outline
numbering styles. I have 5 levels of Outline numbered
Styles, none of which are recognised in the Document
map. Thanks.

Confusingly, there are two types of outline level. One pertains to numbering
and one to the table of contents and Document Map features. Often (as in
Word's built-in heading levels when you apply outline numbering) they are
combined. To have your custom headings appear in the DM, modify the style to
have an outline level other than Body Text (Format | Paragraph: Outline
level).
