Document Not Saved

When I try and save an existing and open Excel document, I get ""microsoft excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space"

I have more than enough disk space so what gives?? It wont let me save anything.

FYI I am accessing data on my server, which is networked to my Mac.

Are you sure you have write permission on the server?

I don't have this problem with other documents, and in fact, I don't even have this problem with certain other Excel documents that are on the server.
