document recovery in Word

Users are having problems saving and printing documents located on a network
drive. The document recovery pane is full of recovered documents when users
print or save a file. Word claims there are errors in the files and is
repairing them. Error pertaining to "internal data integrity type 41". Any
suggestions? I have scoured the Microsoft knowledge base with no luck.
