document recovery task pane

The document recovery task pane keeps opening up whenever I open up word. I
saved the document but it still pops up when I close and open word back up,
with the same document in the recovery.

Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Two things. Make sure Word is closing properly. After closing, hit
Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if winword still appears in the list. If so, Word isn't
closing properly. The other is to clean up your hard drive. You may have a
temp file sitting somewhere that Word THINKS is still a recovery file.
