document registration

Hi, I get the following message when I open a new or completed word
document.

" This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to
create links from other documents to this document. (C:\....\Blank
page\Blank 1 x 1.dotx)

If possible, could you send me an e-mail answer in addition to posting an
answer in the discussion group. I have a brain injury and I can only process
things that are very simple to use. ie: If your response is only through
the discussion groups, I may forget about the discussion group and will only
look in my e-mails.

Sorry, that's not the way these groups work. If you requested email
notification of replies, you will get an email with a link to any replies
posted to this thread.

You don't say what version of Word you have. There is a KB article about
this error message for Word 97 at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=198374;
there are probably articles for more recent versions as well, but I'm not
finding them at the moment.
