document scaning

So I all ready have found that office 2007 has gone about 10 steps backward
with scaning. Thought I figured out how to insert a document from a scaner
into a word document. What I can not figure out is how to do it using OCR.
In 2003 I used document scaning and would then chose send text to word. Does
anyone know if you can do this with 2007. I am guessing no but would like to
get a definate answer. Thanks,
