Document Search in Word 2002

I am using WORD 2002/Windows XP, factory installed by
Dell. I am not able to locate documents using Search. I
have attemtped Basic and Advanced and every combination
of searches, including by titles, keywords, contents,
dates, name, file name, author and have searched within
all available options (Everywhere, Office, My Computer,
Anytime, Office, etc.) I keep coming up with errors
indicating the documents can not be found anywhere. To
make things worse, Dell (which is suppose to trouble
shoot factory installed software) can not determine the
problem's source. They referred me to Microsoft! - which
will not help because I bought the software installed by
Dell!!! Help!!!!!

I had a similar problem with my Dell installed Word 2002.
I couldn't locate 2 files that I had saved. Next day,
when I recreated them and hit FILE SAVE AS, they showed
up in a folder called OLKE. I find that I can only get
to this folder if I highlight some text, hit the BOLD
type button and then hit FILE SAVE AS. Try it. They
might be there.
