Document Track Changes

Pierre

When one passes the cursor over a changed word
(highlighted in, say, red) a window pops up which shows
the author of the change, date, time.
1) Is there a way to avoid this pop up?
2) Will this change apply to this document or from thereon
to all other document until switched back?
3) Is there an easy way for a recipient to still find this
msg content from another place in the application that
would negate the benefit of erasing the window.

Sounds like a sneaky request but is quite legitimate in
the planned usage.
Thanks,
Pierre

Not I, but the msnews servers. If you hadn't posted a second
time, I would never have picked up this thread again! It would
also help if you make sure not to post your answer on the same
line as my question, since my newsreader tends to filter such
text in such a way that I won't notice you've answered.

Tools/Options/View: the checkbox that controls the display of
screen tips. If this is unchecked, the yellow "flags" won't
show.
To all documents.
Definitely. In Word 2000, the dialog box to accept/reject
changes shows this information. In Word 2002 the user could
turn on the Reviewing task pane. (In Word 2003, as I recall,
you can use VBA to remove the information.)
