I have coding in one template that opens another template adds data to the
copy then saves the copy with a filename generated by the data. My problem
comes when I open the saved copy. It always opens in Normal view. The
template it comes from is in Print view. If I open the copy and change the
view and save it, it will still open in Normal view.
How do I get the copy to open in print view from the start?

Confused,
Stu

This is embarassing......
I had looked all over the Office discussion group and Googled my question,
thought I had found a solution
(http://www.vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=65), it didn't work,
pulled my hair out, then began this thread. I then had a cup of coffee opened
the problem template and found that it opened in Normal view!!!!!!! Light
goes on, I check the fix I used (above) and found that I had set the
..view.type to wdNormalView. DUH!!!

Please disregard my original post.......

Thanks,
