Documenting the Global Template

Other than screen prints, does anyone know of a third party software product
that can print the global in an easily readable format? I'd like to have a
snapshot of the current values in the Global before making further changes.
It would be very useful in Disaster Recovery situations, as well as basic
documentation for training.

Thanks.

PM Training 12 and FaisalM:

Take a look at the View Effective Rights tool that Microsoft released.
Also, Bogonavich and Associates has a tool that can transfer
configurations: http://www.bogdanov-associates.com/eng.asp?rubr_id=501

You also might want to check my employers site, as I believe there is
something in development.

With Project Server 2002, Microsoft had a deployment kit that included
an Excel spreadsheet that was specifically developed to record the
configuration. They pulled it for some reason (I think Partners
didn't want DIY'rs to have the tool). You might still be able to find
it on the 'net. I may have a copy of the original.

I know that I have a version of it that I have extensively modified.
Mine includes permission definitions and navigation and is set to
Project Server's out of the box settings. I usually use that to design
the configuration on paper. Then I execute the configuration and give
the client the default version, the design version and the as built,
which forms their basis for configuration management.
