Documenting with screenshots in Access 2007

WinXP/Access 2007.
For documentation of my database in previous versions of Access I opened the
form, hit ALT PrintScreen and copied the image to Word.
In Access 2007 I get the entire Access window, ribbon toolbar and all, so
have to edit the image to show only the form. Is there another keyboard
combination I can use to get just the form?

Hi Mich

I thought that Alt-PrtScn would capture only the active form only if it was
a popup form. Otherwise I believe it captures the current modal window,
which in the case of Access (or any other MDI app) is the whole application
window.

If you do much screen capturing (and it sounds like you do if you're using
it for documentation) then I *strongly* recommend Snag0It from TechSmith:

I promise you you'll never use Alt-PrtScn again!

A friend highly recommends Bug Shooting which is free.

Bug Shooting is a free screenshot utility that was developed for
software testers who use bug tracking systems including FogBugz,
Gemini, Ontime, BugTracker.NET and Mantis Bug Tracker. Screenshots can
also be sent to Skype or a default E-Mail application (e.g., Outlook).

Since screenshots are frequently used to show system bugs or to
reproduce the steps for a failed test, it is often very helpful to
highlight, notate and/or crop areas of the screenshot. With Bug
Shooting this can be done in a matter of seconds.

P.S. Thanks for asking. Another item for my blog. <smile>
