documents are duplicating

In WORD program: sample of documents appearing out of nowhere: ~$02-26
(they begin ~$) they are not documents I have created & saved.

also:
getting a lot of these files: ~WRL0934.tmp (begin ~WR and in a
..tmp file)
I am being inundated with these files...what has caused it? how do i eliminate
thank you.

You're viewing hidden files. Word creates temporary files. Are they still
there after exiting Word? After exiting Word, is it closing properly?
(Ctrl+Alt+Del...is it still in the processes list?)

These are Word/Windows temp files which are perfectly normal. But when you
close Word, the files should disappear unless Word has been crashing.

Which folders are these files being created? Have you got FULL permissions
to create and delete in these folders? If you use Outlook, Outlook needs to
be closed too before some of the temp files get removed.
