Documents close unexpectedly

One of our users has word and outlook (Office 2003) open on Windows
2000 Pro and has several documents open. As they switch back and forth
between the documents and outlook and their desktop, all the word
documents shut down.

Now I know there is an article about removing speech and handwriting
recognition, but I have done that and the problems still persists. Any
other ideas?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
