documents don't load

When I click on a word document Word loads but the document does not open. If
I then use OPEN from Word and browse to the document it will open. Anyone
else experience this? Oh yes, this is in Word XP

If you are opening the files outside the application (other than using
File/Open) then it sounds like the file association needs to be
recreated.

Go to Start/Run and run the following:

winword /r

Note that there is a space before the forward slash.

Word does not open at all? I am experiencing a problem in my documents, I
cannot get any word docs I have saved to open. I get not responding. I
uninstalled office XP and reinstalled and it did not help. Have you tried
doing that?
