Documents for Closed Projects

After closing a project, we remove the subweb, but do not delete the project.
In the Documents screen, we still see the name of the closed project. We
even use the Categories feature so that a manager cannot even see the closed
project in the Project Center, yet the project name is still visible in the
Documents screen. If the manager click the closed project's name, a message
appears stating that no documents are available.

Can I do something so that WSS does not display the closed project in the
Documents screen?

Matt,

That's an interesting point. The list you see simply brings back all the projects regardless of the known state of a project workspace. Then for projects that might not have sites published you get the stupid "documents depends on Sharepoint" message, which is really no help. It would be easy enough to simply not create the link if there's no WSS site published. Sounds like a good opportunity for M$ to enhance the product.Better yet, allow you to show/hide projects in that list as you see fit, based on some query to the database of course.

Earl,

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like I have not overlooked some setting that
would enable me to hide the unwanted (Closed) projects from the Documents
list.
