Documents full of zeros

Hi

Windows 2000 Pro, SP-4
Word 2000 SP-3, default settings
Outlook 2003

I received several document with an .doc extension, created in Mexico. They
where email to me and when I open the documents I see zeros. Pages and
Pages of zeros. I thought Word 2000 can view foreign language documents?
Would you help me view the documents correctly.

Also .jpg where part of the attachments and when I open them, they are
blank.

You don't mention how you tried to open the docs. If double-clicking results
in garbage (zeros), try opening the documents through the Word application.
To find them, you may first have to copy them to the desktop or some folder.
