documents in landscape page set up

When I select landscape from the page set up, the text wraps as though still
in portrait. This also affects anything pasted into the document and tables!
I have checked margins etc, but no joy. Any hep gratefully received.

Office is not the program I requested information about. That is the Suite
of programs. Word, PowerPoint, etc. is the program. The version is the
type of Suite you have, Pro, Small Business, Student and Teacher, etc. We
will now assume it is Word 2003 you are having issues with and the suite
version should not matter.

When you click File, Page Setup what are the values for the 4 margins that
are set (Top, Bottom, Left, Right.) What are the two gutter settings? Is
the Pages: Multiple Pages set to normal?

You may want to try to search for a file on the computer called normal.dot.
You may have one or more of them on the hard drive. Delete all of them with
Word not running. Word will recreate this "master template" when it starts
the next time. See if that fixes your problem.

Let us know the answers and if deleting Normal.dot helps (it won't hurt.)

Thanks - page set up has margins of 1cm, Top, bottom, left and right; gutter
0cm & Gutter position is left.
Multiple pages is set to Normal.

I have searched for a file called normal.dot but the computer didn't find
anything.

Found normal.dot after searching for hidden files! Many thanks :))

These measurements are not standard default for Word. Using the metric
should have no real bearing on the defaults. US measurements would default
to 1.25 inches for all margins. That should be 3.175 cm margins. Of course
you are also probably set for A4 paper which should also not have any
bearing on your issue.

Exactly where are you copying and pasting from? If it is from a slide in
PowerPoint, a web page, etc. that has frames that is your problem as you are
still pasting the entire frame and garfield-n-odie's posted link will help.
If you are pasting from a Word file. deleting the normal.dot file should
help. Let us know.
