There is an old font translator "Font Converter-TTConverter1.5" that
will convert PC fonts to Mac or visa-versa.

If you can't find it, I'll email it to you.
I know it works in OS 9.1 but can't insure anything beyond.

This answer is of no help to the original problem. You don't have the
faintest experience with Greek text or fonts. Please don't answer if
you are clueless.

You didn't specify your version number of MS Word - nor the version of
your operating system.
Ask the sender to save in Rich Text Format (RTF) and apply
<http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/cgi-bin/NewSearch?key=greek+rtf>
Use any program other than MS Word X. Microsoft Word for Mac OS X
is crippled because it supports only the MacRoman character set on
a Unicode operating system. Use, for example, Open Office.
