Documents slow to open after RPC patch

After installing the RPC patch on Windows 2000 machines when you open a network file in one of the Office 2000 sp3 programs it hangs for about 50 seconds before opening. If you open a docuement from the hard drive all is fine. If you open the file by going through Windows Explorer it opens normally.

Server: Novell 6.0 sp3
Workstation: MSWindows 2000 sp4
