Documents suddenly become hidden

Ok, for you guys that have seen this already, I apologize but I'm still
searching for an explanation.

I have a user that claims her word documents disappear in front of her eyes
on her screen. Finding this weird, I did a search and found that the files
were there, they were just hidden. She states she did nothing to cause
this (of course they all say this). Is there some type of keyboard
combination that makes files suddenly hide? She is using MSWord from
Office 2003 and Windows XP and I am puzzled at why certain MSWord documents
revert to hidden status. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

afaik, no, there is no such key combination to do this. are you sure
there is no nefarious (virus or spy-bot) software (or people which
access to files via unsecured network access to server) involved?
