Hi,
I use Document variables in documents and let users fill them through a
userform. If a user uses multiple lines, I translate that to a vertical tab
(shift+Enter) and if a user does not fill in anything, I set the value of the
document variable to a soft hyphen character. Until Word 2007 this works fine.
But in Word 2007 I save a document in docx-format, the above mentioned
characters are removed.
Is there a way around this behaviour (except saving it to 2003 format,
because I know this one)?
