.docx conversion losing formatting

Cheryl

An office worker received a .docx document and used the conversion
application and some of the outlining did not carry over. We are
running Office 2004, v. 11.5.1 and running OS 10.4.11. Has anyone
else had this problem? Any solution? Thanks, Cheryl

Answered elsewhere... Please don't post the same issue multiple times.

Keep in mind that you're dealing with a newsgroup manned by volunteers who
have only a certain & variable amount of time to volunteer. It may take
hours - perhaps days - for a post to even appear, let alone be responded to.

The first thing I did was a search for .docx formatting and came up
with alignment issues, save as issues, font issues, crashes, but
couldn't find anything specifically for outlining. I even did a
search for .docx outlining and nothing. I thought the post I did a
few days before this one did not go through, but I now realize it
did. Sorry for the inconvenience and do appreciate your willingness
to volunteer.

Not a problem at all - it's just that it can make it much more difficult for
you to find the responses that do come through. I can see how you may have
gotten that impression but it's generally best to reply to your own post.
That "refreshes" it & still keeps everything within the same thread :)
