docx to .doc

I have a friend who sends me .docx files and it is most annoying as I
cannot open them, and have to keep asking them to save them as .doc.

I have Word 2000 - XP and Firefox.

Thank you - don't want to update my Word, I am happy with it.

Either ask your friend to save the files as .doc before she sends them to
you or install the compatibilty pack.
