Does anyone have experience with MSP in VPC?

I work in a Mac environment and have used Project running in Virtual PC. I
had to stop when I moved to OS X because Virtual PC running Win 98 and MS
Project 98 was a real dog (10s delay between hitting key and seeing letter!)

I am now moving to a G5 and plan to install VPC 7 which will be compatible
and is supposedly much faster than prior versions.

My question is, Does the current version of Project run under Win 2000 as
well as XP, and if so, which OS is preferred?

Kenneth,
I run Project 98, 2000 and 2003 under VPC 5.0.4 (Windows XP) on my eMac
(G4) with OS 10.2.8. Response is of course not as snappy as a PC but
performance is very acceptable and I do a lot of VBA macros, some quite
complex. I do notice however that Project 2003 is more sluggish. I would
assume VPC 7 on a G5 will improve that but I do not yet have VPC 7.

Hope this helps.

Project 2003 will work under Win 2000. AFAIK there is no preference by
Project other than XP is a few years newer and support will last longer.

If there is a preference it will be whichever OS X and Virtual PC
"likes" better. Read the documentation carefully. My experience with
Virtual PC on XP is that as long as there is sufficient memory, it works
terrifically well (at one point I was experimenting with various
products on Windows 2003 Server on top of XP).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
