does e-book reader for word 2000/2002 work if you have word 2003?

I used to use Outlook and Word 2002, but after Microsoft Update's 'Genuine
Advantage Validation process' kept refusing to validate my officially
licenced products, telling me they had failed validation because they were
not actvated (despite the fact that they were activated) I contacted
Microsoft directly who gave me new PID numbers for each product. The new
numbers worked for Word 2002 but did NOT work for Outlook 2002, so I was no
better off. It had already taken 3 and a half hours on the phone speaking to
at least 7 different people before I even got these numbers, so I was not in
a hurry to phone them again. I have since purchased Office 2003, so no longer
use the Office 2002 applications

My problem is that I have downloaded a very large number of 'free' e-books
that seem to require two word 2000/2002 'add-ins' which have to be activated
before I can access the e-books again. These kept failing to actvate when I
last tried when using Word 2002. My question is this: Does anybody know
whether these e-book reader add-ins will work when I am now using word 2003?

any relevant info will be VERY gratefully received
