Hi,

Just switched from Windows to Mac for one of my computers.

I'm running Entourage 2008 for Mac and syncing it with iCal. I wish to sync the Entourage calendar with iCal. Does Entourage need to be running to sync with iCal, or is there some background process that will conduct the sync without having Entourage run?

I ask because I would prefer not to have Entourage sitting in the dock just to sync the calendar. I use Apple Mail for email.

Any advice/help much appreciated.

Why not just use the Apple Calendar?

Yes, Entourage has to be running to sync. It might help to understand the
process of sync. Data actually syncs with a database called the "truth."

Thanks.

Because I'm using my iPhone with my work Exchange server. It's free and it works. If Mobileme was cheaper and reliable I would use that.

Perhaps, my question should have been what is it about Mail you like over
Entourage? :)
