Does Entourage support a secure connection (SSL) for both the POP and SMTP server settings?

Greetings.

I use ATT/Yahoo (sbcglobal) for my ISP, and received the following
message from them:

"We recently contacted you about some important security improvements
we're making to your AT&T Yahoo! service. These changes will affect
members who send or receive email from a desktop or mobile client
program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora,
Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.

"To help us ensure the security of your email, you will need to change
the settings on your desktop or mobile email client program for each
email account (primary and sub accounts).

"IMPORTANT NOTICE: Once these security enhancement are fully
implemented only secure connection capable email clients will be able
to access client email (POP/SMTP). Some older email client versions
may not support secure connection."

I need to know if Entourage does what ATT/Yahoo requires (it is not in
their list of those which do), and, if so, how I configure Entourage
to meet their requirements.

Thanks.

I had the same problem with using AT&T's smtp server for my outgoing
mail, while still using my own pop3 for incoming.

AT&T couldn't help, but just found some settings that works for me,
without the need of any SSL program:

SMTP:
smtp.att.yahoo.com
Advanced sending options:
(v) SMTP requires ... (SSL)
(v) Override ... 465
(v) SMTP requires authen...
(o) log on using:
Account ID (email address)
password

Hope it helps...
