does Microsoft explain the Napkin Match feature of OneNote 2007?

I discovered if from a blog but did not find it explained in the Help files.
That is not totally true. There is a passing reference in the What's New
page as follows:

Calculator Perform simple calculations ("napkin math") while you take notes
without leaving the page.

But that sentence is not as informative as it could be if MS threw in an
example or had a separatat entry for the feature.

Essentially if you enter an equation like 10/5 =
then OneNote will automatically calculate and enter the answer of "2" in the
OneNote page where you type the simple equation.

One wonders how many similar features are hidden away without documentation.

If you bring up Help, then enter 'math', it tells you about it. However, I
must admit I was not aware of it until your post. Thanks.

I've read the "math" section of Help, but still can't figure out how to use
the % operator. Can somebody give and example? Thanks

It's just a shortcut to make calculating percentages a bit easier.

Try 100*20%= and hit Enter or Space.
You get 100*20%=20

Compare to 100*.2=20 --- the % may be more intuitive to some users.
