Does Microsoft Provide Desktop Backgrounds Or Wallpapers?

T

taupe

I would like to find some nice desktop backgrounds and wallpapers to use on my computer. I know when we installed Microsoft, it came with a few sample backgrounds, but I'd like even more.

I cannot just use any pictures from any website, since this is a business computer, and I am responsible for any viruses, etc. I thought that if I could somehow get additional wallpapers through Microsoft, they should be safer (and allowed by my company).

I tried searching the clip art and media, but I only found a few things, and they downloaded directly into my Publisher clip art file. I am unable to get the pictures from the Publisher clip art file to copy over into "My Pictures" or another area where I can use them as desktop backgrounds.

Does anyone know how I could get some nice desktop wallpapers/backgrounds? I don't mind downloading them through Microsoft (if I can figure out how!), or I could even right-click and use "set as backgound" if the image is large enough.

Thank you all! Sorry this is so long and complicated!! :

While this is not an Office problem, you may want to look here:

Look in the National Geographic Photo of the Day Archives. National
Geographic makes each image available for downloading as an image file, as
wallpaper or you can email the image.

What OS are you using? You can also get some very interesting backgrounds
from http://www.digitalblasphemy.com - I use about 5 or 6 of them and rotate
backgrounds according to my mood.

If your employer installed Microsoft Plus! (doubtful, but some in my office
had it installed for some reason or another), there are themes that include
wallpapers.
