Does MSP2007 automatically save project files?

Does MSP2007 have an automatic file saving feature?

The story is as follows:
An engineer in our company is using MSP2007 Japanese.
He says, "I believe I saved my file in MSP2003 format. But an MSP2003 user
could not open because it was saved in MSP2007 format. I doubt MSP2007 must
have automatic file saving feature and must have overwritten my file with
2007 format."

Does MSP2007 have an automatic file saving feature?
Or he must have mistakenly saved his file in MSP2007 format?
(I could not find an automatic file saving feature in my MSP2007 book.)

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Yes, Project 2007 has an automatic Save feature. Click Tools - Options -
Save. Set the "Save Microsoft Office Project files as" to the 2000-2003
file type, select the "Save every" option, and then specify how often to
save a file. Hope this helps.

You are more than welcome for the help, my friend! And yes, you SHOULD buy
one or more of our books simply because they will save you so much time and
frustration! :)
