After downloading SR1 I found that Error 1904 came up and said about missing
DLL files ... can office 2000 still work properly?

Chris ...
I'd already looked at that ... but it applies to Office 2003 not Office
2000. I have had Office 2000 for yeard but had to re-install it and on
downloading SR1a for Office 2000, I got landed with Error 1904 and several
DLLs that didn't register ...
All I want to know is will Office 2000 still work with no problems?

Could not find article you refered to as the link went to the discussions
search page and I'm not good on search things like that when I'm not sure
what to do or type in ... I have some short term memory loss cos of head
injury some yrs ago ... have job trying to remember something seen just 30
seconds ago ...
I hope you don't think I'm being deliberatly a pain in the rear ... sorry if
I don't fully understand what you're saying to do ...

38Special,
No problem, This article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;279223
refers to the error message you recieved. In order for your Office version
to work correctly, you'll need to apply the resolution it offers. Just
curious but, is this a retail copy of Office? What version of Windows are you
using?

hi Chris ...
when I go to that page you said to go ... there is no product list shown and
no OS list shown ... see why I'm having problems and yes it is a retail
version 2000 ... it cost me enough ... nearly £200 and I'm using Win 998SE

38Special,
Since you mentioned Windows 98 SE, if this system were mine I would
reinstall Windows 98 SE, not update Windows, reinstall your version of Office
then progress with updates for either by release date. You can find these
here:
