Suffering from switching to Vista

My Office 2007 disk shows a file under Tools for Microsoft Office Document
Imaging. However when I go to the file it says it isn't available. I
thought I saw on another web site that is available. What's the correct
answer. Thanks

Yes
So you select Imaging from the office/tools menu & get that *exact* msg?

Yes. Office Document Imaging is one of several Office toolss that Office
2007 does install by default. In Control Panel go to Uninstall Programs
{Vista} or Add/Remove Progams {Windows XP}and select your version of Office
2007. Click on Change and select Add/Remove Features. In the Tools folder
change the tools you want to install to Run on Your Computer.

When you go to Setup, Add/Remove features, Tools folder, what status is
displayed for Document Imaging? Next to each tool {on left} with a icon and
a down arrow. The down arrow allows you to choose Run on My computer {a
compter like icon}, Run a first use {a computer like icon with a 1} and not
available {a computer like icon with a red X}.

If the status is run a first use or not available, change to Run on My
Compuer.

If the status is Run on My Computer, then it should be installed. Close
setup. Open any Office 2007 application and run Office Diagnostics. In
Outlook and OneNote look on Help menu. In other applications, click on
Office Orb and then Options. Look under Resources.

Office Enterprise is supported directly from your company's IT department or
Microsoft. When you purchased your license from your company you also go
the telephone number to call for support. Yes, Enterprise should also
enable imaging. Contact your support center for assistance.

(The reason I specify this is that there are so many pirated versions of
Office Enterprise out there. If you purchased from other than through your
company or school, you also have a pirated version.
