Does Office 2007 work with Windows XP SP3?

I have a 7yr old PC which still works great, using Windows XP SP3. I
currently have Office 2000 on it which is getting a bit slow. If I upgrade to
Office 2007 will Windows XP SP3 work better with it or certainly the same
level?

Office doesn't become slow, depending what exactly you mean.
Office 2007 runs fine on WinXP sp3, but an upgrade will probably not impact
on sys performance

What do you mean "will Windows XP SP3 work better with it"? Office 2007
has a greater hardware requirement than Office 2000. Your documents will
take longer to open, render, save etc. It's not the operating system,
it's Office.
