Does Outlook 2007 cache calendar information for other users?

Does Outlook 2007 cache calendar information locally for users listed under
"Peoples Calendars" or "My Calendars" to improve access/speed to appointment
/ meeting information when a user is running in cached mode connected to an
Exchange 2003 server in another site? If so, provide brief explanation on how
it works. Thanks.
