Does OWC require Excel?

If I publish an Excel Pivot Table (interactive with a cube on SQL Server AS)
to a webpage, I can (of course) serve it up via IIS. The user has to have
IE and OWC installed on their end to see and slice the cube. Does the user
also have to have Excel installed?

Ah, I see that according to the documentation, if I don't install Office,
then via OWC I'll only have view capability, not interactivity.
