can anyone help me with this error message: Program: C:\Program Files\
Microsoft Office\Office 10\WINWORD.EXE.
abnormal program termination
I recieve it often when I am on Word and do not know what it means nor how
to correct it.

It basically means that Word blew up...for SOME reason. And that's the
trick...to figure out what the reason is. But also...sometimes the
first reason it blows up can be a fairly legit reason. However, if you
don't clear the crash files after a crash...then you'll end up making
the problem worse because the crash files pile up and can cause the
problem to occur more often.

Below are a few articles you should read to help you understand the
problem better...and ways to try to drill down to the problem...by
eliminating various issues.

The first thing is to clear your temp folder. That will probably fix
the problem. If that doesn't do it and the error comes back...still
clear your temp files (regularly), but then try one of the next
techniques, such as checking for addins and then renaming Normal.dot.
Also...if you have one of the problem programs mentioned, such as
Acrobat, Norton, etc...then make sure you pay attention to those
issues as they may be causing your initial problem.
