Does Project Pro 2003 use specific port numbers?

Hi, I have a Project 2003 Server on one network and a laptop on another
network running MS Project Pro 2003. A firewall stands between both
networks. I have configured the client with a Server Account in Project Pro
so that when the user opens Project on the client they can choose to either
work offline or connect to the Project Pro Server.

I can ping the Project Pro Server from the client (using both IP address and
hostname) and when I enter the URL of the Project Server in the clients web
browser it comes up with the Project Pro Welcome screen and I can use domain
logon credentials to connect to the system. This all works fine.

However, the problem I am having is when I select a Server Account when I
load Project Pro on the client. When I select profile to use server account
i get the message "Unexpected Server Response". On viewing details of this
it shows an HTTP error "401.2 - unauthorised. Access denied due to server
configuration".

The IIS side appears to be fine. It appears HTTP traffic is passing through
firewall OK but does MS Project Pro possibly use a port number that we may
be blocking, thus preventing me to access the Project Pro server via MS
Project Pro on the client?

Thanks very much.
