Does the calculator work with handwriting/ink?

Is there a way to get the new calculator functionallity in OneNote 2007 to
work with handwriting/inking? When I read about the calculator
functionallity, I thought they were talking about handwriting given they call
it "napkin math," but up until now, I have only been able to get it to work
when I type. Seriously, who types on a napkin?

Given that OneNote automatically converts handwriting into text in the
background for searching, I would think this would already be possible, but I
haven't been able to figure it out yet.

If it's available now, please let me know how to make it work and if not,
please add it. I would have upgraded just for that feature alone.

No, I don't believe it works with Ink - I think you have to type to make it
work. I'm sure they'd like to make it available to Ink as well, but that's
a fair bit more difficult and I don't think they had time to get that ready
before they had to ship.
