Does Visio work well with MS Access

W

Werner

I have an Access database with many records. Each record has about 40 data fields, some data format, some text format -- each of the records has a history of events stretched over a few years. Some records have about 15 events, other records have only 3 events.

Would Visio work to display the records in a time line or with flowchart boxes? Can the Visio routine be integrated into the Access program as a module? Is Visio the right program, or should I look at something else? HELP.

Werner,

I find visio works great with access. Unfortunately, the standard edition does not allow for reverse engineering an exsisting database, but the professional version does.

I used Visio to reverse engineer an access database with 50+ tables and querys.
