Does word have content filtering capability?

I am looking for a way to mark sections of my word document as different
levels and then using a filter to filter out only the contents pertaining to
a specific level. Anyone knows how to do that?
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Anything along these lines will involve macros. The "Word programming"
newsgroup is the better place to get detailed assistance for that. When you ask
for help (no matter what the question), please specify the VERSION of Word
involved.

Generally, I'd say create sets of styles in the document - one set / level.
They can be identifiable by something in the style name. The macro can then set
the "hidden" text property of the style to show/hide text formatted with that
style, as required.
